Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original scholarly work in English, French, or Arabic within the journal’s scope of law, business, commerce, economics, and public policy. Manuscripts must not be published or under consideration elsewhere and should be written clearly for an international academic audience.

 

The main manuscript must be anonymized for double-anonymous peer review. Remove author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, and identifying file metadata. Upload a separate title page containing each author’s full name, affiliation, ORCID iD where available, and the corresponding author’s contact information.

 

Submissions should include a concise title, a self-contained abstract, relevant keywords, a clear structure, complete and accurate references, and numbered tables and figures with appropriate captions. Authors must secure permission for any third-party material.

 

Research involving human participants, personal data, or regulated activities must follow applicable legal and ethical requirements and include approval or consent information where relevant. Authors must disclose funding, competing interests, and any material use of generative AI tools. AI tools may not be listed as authors.

 

Editors may decline submissions that fall outside the journal’s scope or do not meet minimum standards of originality, clarity, research integrity, or methodological soundness. Suitable manuscripts proceed to independent peer review before a final editorial decision.

 

Fees: The Journal of Law, Commerce & Economics does not charge submission, review, or publication fees. There are no article processing charges (APCs).

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

 

• The manuscript is original, falls within the journal’s scope, and is not published or under consideration elsewhere.

• The main manuscript is anonymized for double-anonymous review, with author details supplied only on a separate title page.

• The title, abstract, keywords, references, tables, figures, and supplementary files are complete and accurate.

• Permission has been obtained for third-party material, datasets, images, or other copyrighted content.

• Applicable ethics approval, participant consent, and data-protection requirements have been met.

• Funding, competing interests, and any material use of generative AI tools have been disclosed.

The Journal of Law, Commerce & Economics collects personal information necessary to operate its editorial, peer-review, and publication services. This may include names, email addresses, affiliations, ORCID identifiers, account information, manuscript metadata, submissions, editorial correspondence, and review records.

 

This information is used only for registration, manuscript processing, editorial assessment, peer review, publication, indexing, preservation, platform security, and journal communications. It is not sold or used for unrelated marketing. Access is limited to authorized editors, reviewers, technical administrators, service providers, and others whose access is necessary for these purposes. Reviewer identities and confidential manuscript materials are handled in accordance with the journal's double-anonymous review process.

 

Information included in published articles and their metadata, including author names, affiliations, and ORCID identifiers when supplied, becomes part of the public scholarly record. Editorial and account data may be retained as necessary to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain platform security.

 

The website may record technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, and request logs for security, troubleshooting, and aggregate usage statistics.

 

Users may request access to or correction of their personal information, or request deletion where compatible with legal, security, and scholarly-record obligations, by contacting editor@lcejournal.org. By registering or submitting to the journal, users acknowledge the processing described in this statement.
